MY BEST FRIEND

So I went to visit my gran a few weeks ago, Her name is Mary but people call her may. she is 80 this year and I LOVE her stories. Here are some pictures I took while she was telling me one of her stories about the her life and her child hood, she is truly my inspiration and my best friends.

I love theses pictures, I think she is beautiful. Her little rosie cheeks are my favourite.

I especially love the last picture - She staring out the window while in the middle of talking about her life as a young woman and even though I've heard every inch of her life story a million times, I can't help but listen. She fascinates me and when I look into her eyes, I can see she can remember it as though it was yesterday, as though she's playing it back in her mind there and then. I think its important to remember, as this year she was diagnosed with slight dementia, it's common in old age.

So its important to remember your past as it inevitably shapes your future.
